Journey Beyond Road Trauma
For the past four years, director Sandra Cook has been developing a documentary that follows her family’s story after her father was killed in a car crash in 2004. The story includes the legal journey her family encountered and considers the possible dangers of driving on high levels of some prescription medication. In late 2007, Sandra Cook teamed up with Evolve Media's Kerry Sunderland to develop a multi-platform project based on the Cook family’s story – and thousands of other stories like it. JOURNEY BEYOND ROAD TRAUMA (formerly called TOUCHED BY THE ROAD TOLL) is an online sanctuary where people can tell their story, create compelling tributes, find support and understanding from the online community, and ultimately begin to heal. The Beta (trial) version of the online community went live in January 2010 and was officially launched over Easter 2010. Visit www.journeybeyondroadtrauma.org
